I no longer have any use for the daily newspaper. We quit the delivery a few months back. Occasionally we pick up the Sunday paper, not for the news but for the ads and coupons. I don’t miss it!
I don’t pay much attention to the local news (just a headline or two) or the three major station nightly national news for that matter. The news is so repetitive with nightly killings on the north side, an officer shot on the south side, riots break out at what was to be a peaceful protest. NO! A riot broke out because that was the intention under a false claim of a peaceful protest.
It’s all the same day after day. I don’t feel anymore less informed, not in the least. And, I remember the time when the Sunday St. Louis Post-Dispatch was 75 cents; now it’s $3.00. It’s half the size, and it’s more opinion than facts. Good-bye Post-Dispatch.

WE DO NOT GET THE PAPERS HERE IN GEORGIA EITHER, WE HAVE OUR COUPONS SENT THROUGH THE MAIL VIA ADVERTISING AGENCIES. THE ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION HAS VASTLY SLIMMED DOWN ON THE JOB SECTION, AND MUCH MORE. WHAT PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO REALIZE IS THAT CENTURIES AGO, WHEN YOU WERE A POOR PERSON REGARDLESS OF RACE, YOU WERE PRON TO BE SOLD AND USED AS A SLAVE. IT WAS THROUGH THE ARAB TRADE AND BLACKS IN AFRICA THAT BLACK WERE BOUGHT AND SOLD. WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BROUGHT THIS SO CALLED RACE HERE, WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT THEM TO FIGHT IT OUT AMONG THEMSELVES AND IN THE JUNGLES WHERE THEY BELONG. RIOTS ARE NOW CAUSED BECAUSE ONE OR MORE RACES WANT WHAT THE OTHER HAS AND WORKED HARD FOR. WHY NOT ALL THE BLACKS GO BACK TO AFRICA AND ACCOMPLISH WHAT THE WHITE MAN HAS DONE HERE??? EVEN AFTER THE CIVIL WAR, NOT A ONE OF THEM WANTED TO RETURN BACK TO AFRICA. WE SHALL NOW HAVE ALL KINDS OF SHOOTING, CRIME, ETC…SINCE THIS MATTER HAS BECOME INTENSE. I SHALL ADMIT I DO NOT LIKE THIS RACE OF PEOPLE, THEY TURN EVERYTHING INTO FILTH AND GARBAGE WHERE EVER THEY GO, AND THINK THAT EVERYONE SHOULD OWE THEM SOMETHING. TRUMP IS NOT A RACIST, BUT I SURE THE HELL AM, AND I SHALL STAY A RACIST AS LONG AS THEY KEEP THIS EXCREMENT UP. I AM THE RACIST AND TRUMP IS NOT!!!

It entertains us, it informs us, it has become our friend…until something else down the road replaces it (as it will). You have just witnessed the evolutionary cycle of media!
