ARLIN REPORT THOUGHT OF THE DAY: PERSPECTIVE

I’ve been silent for a few days, since this past Saturday evening.   Saturday, April 1st at 10:00 PM Central Time, my mother after years of poor health and defying death, grew too tired to carry on……very peacefully  took her final breath on this earth and took the hand of Jesus to His big house.   Her entire family by her side when God took her Home.

In a screwed up world, the last few days have put things back in perspective, for me anyway, that nothing really matters like love of family and the peace in a way only God can give.

My mother donated her body to Science Care, Inc. for medical research.   She knew, if there was anything that could be learned to help others, her’s was a perfect match for research.  A beautiful, thoughtful gift to this world, of which I am proud.

  1. I KNOW AND DO I KNOW. WHEN MY MOTHER (LAST PARENT DIED), I WAS SINGLE NO CHILDREN OF COURSE, IN MY EARLY 30’S, AND WAS SUICIDAL. I AM 5’81/2″ WEIGHED ONLY 89 POUNDS AND BECAME AN ALCOHOLIC. ON MOTHERS AND FATHERS DAYS I WOULD DRINK MORE THAN A QUART OF LIQUOR, AND HARD LIQUOR AT THAT. I STILL DRINK, BUT NOT TO A POINT OF HABITUAL ALCOHOLISM. PLEASE CONCENTRATE ON YOUR WIFE, CHILDREN, AND GRANDCHILDREN; I DID NOT HAVE A HUSBAND OR NONE OF THESE RELATIONS. WE ALSO LOOK FORWARD TO DOING MORE BLOGGING, AND ME SHARING A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION FROM TIME TO TIME.

  2. So sorry and I know it is a very sad time. I agree, that loosing someone brings everything into perspective. The only thing that is important is where we will spend eternity. With everything that is happening we just need to keep our eyes on Jesus!!!!

  3. MY SYMPATHY AND AFFECTION TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. MY MOTHER DIED OF CANCER AND MY FATHER DIED FROM A CAR ACCIDENT. IT IS NOT A GOOD THING TO SAY, BUT A WARM AND A COMFORT WELCOME TO OUR ORGANIZATION OF LONERS WITHOUT PARENTS. ~~~~~~~~~HUGS TO YOU AND FAMILY, AND MAY YOUR PARENTS REST IN PEACE, ALONG WITH OURS. SORRY WE MISSED YOU FOR THIS REASON.
