Candidates no longer win on their own merit, the political machines (usually those that spend the most) control it all. The choice (Manchurian, those they can build and control) the campaign (the money), party/most dominate within the districts and state (people still lean to vote according to party lines, despite competence, ability, experience and commonsense). How else can you explain someone that has virtually no work experience (real job) gets elected to the Senate. This one (like AOC) blows me away. The dumbing down of America has certainly worked to place people in D.C. that are controlled by the Deep State (the political machines). The clown act in D.C. just expanded.
