50 Best Presidents Day Greeting Photos And Pictures

Boys and girls (and to many of your parents) the former president on the left is George Washington, the gentleman on the right is Abraham Lincoln. You may recognize them if in fact any of your schools and teachers bothered to give you a book on American History. Of course now if your school is or was named after either one of these men, your brilliant administrators are wanting to change the name (of the school). BUT, I will guarantee you these same people wanting to change the name and/or remove any statues of them will still want to enjoy the day off celebrating their birthdays………Presidents’ Day! These people would be referred to as ignorant hypocrites. Hypocrite…..look it up.

Statues, Symbols, and the Cross. — Holly T. Ashley

As I shake my head in disbelief and total embarrassment while watching countless cowardly mayors and governors allow the lawless mobs tear down statues of our American history – I am disgusted. We all learn from history. Good history and bad history, it all happened and from it we all learn what is good about […]

arlin report thought(s) of the day: why aren’t we standing with this brave lady?

Why are we, the silent majority, letting this brave lady stand alone among rude, heckling protesters?

The silent majority in this country MUST come out of our shells, the closet……..wherever we are. We are in the midst of a civil war in this country. You don’t believe that? What do you think all the chaos is? We allow them to take over our streets, loot, assault good innocent people. Radicals are having their way with destruction. We standby and just watch, express our rage at the kitchen table……… and then do nothing. It is not enough to just leave it in the hands of law enforcement. They no longer feel supported, so why would they be supportive.

We are late in voicing our opinion, voicing our disgust. Are we going to allow a simple minority of anti-American trash dogs to take this nation? Who gave them approval to tear down our statues and monuments?

We need to speak up, speak out, loud and clear. We need to start showing up!!! We are the blockade!

Destruction of monuments does not change history. Destruction of history books does not change history. Most of those that want to destroy our past do not even know of our past.

Who’s next, ignoring history and our past

Behind this remorseless drive to blast the greatest names from America’s past off public buildings, and to tear down their statues and monuments, is an egalitarian extremism rooted in envy and hate. Yes, and reading this causes me great sadness to think about what we have allowed to happen to our culture and heritage. — […]

So the Civil War never happened?     Take a symbol of our past and throw it in the trash, and it is gone!   How do you educate about the Civil War in an American History class, without the Confederate flag?

State governments plan on stuffing the flag in  museums now, out of sight.  If the flag is so offensive, how is it less offensive in a public museum?   Museums hold items, artifacts of historic interests, specifically for public viewing.    When someone starts complaining they saw a Confederate flag in a museum and “OMG I was offended”; are we then removing it from it’s case or off the wall?

With or without that flag or any flag, this country would still have the violence and murder rate of today.    I will bet the house, the murder rate does not drop when the Confederate flag is out of sight.

There is a lot more that should be and is offensive in this country than a flag that represents part of history, the good and the bad.

If we put a fraction of our energy into the offenses of Obama and our government as those bitching about the Confederate flag?  Now that I would stand behind and along side you.
