1 CORINTHIANS 10:23

1 Corinthians 10:23
Context Summary
First Corinthians 10:23—11:1 shows that merely asking, ”Is this lawful?” is the wrong question for Christians. Instead, we must continue by asking, ”Will this glorify God?” and ”Will this build up our neighbors?” Paul instructs them to act on this by refusing to eat meat they know has been offered to an idol. The reason is to avoid causing anyone to think Christians approve of idol worship in any way. They are free, though, to eat any meat they don’t know to have been offered to an idol, with a clear conscience, and with thanks to God. The key message of this passage is that our intent, and the effects of our actions on others, are more important than the physical things involved.

I, needed explanation of this verse myself. Wasn’t clear of what it really meant. Which is often the case from the Bible. Things are often interpreted differently from person to person.

Have a great day!

1 CORINTHIANS 6:12

1 Corinthians 6:12

Okay! Our government(s) have (tried) to switch this around on us. They believe they are above (higher) than The Lord! They would say this does not apply to them. It is what is good for thee is not meant (good) for me (meaning them, those in government) attitude or way! They certainly have no humility.

We are the ones they should be (must be) answering to. Question everything, demand answers. We will weed through the lies.

Have a great day!

1 corinthians 1:18

1 Corinthians 1:18

I am going to try to be a better person today, so I can work on being a better person tomorrow. The evil in our world is making it a greater challenge to do that, but I must be better than them. Turning a cheek may be the most difficult of all. I am not sure that means we must cave to evil, and just let Christ handle it. I believe we are often His tool for making things right…….or at least better.

I pray you have a great day.
