Sunday night two Hermann, MO police officers were shot at a Casey’s convenience store. Both officers were taken to area hospitals, where one officer has died.

From the last update about an hour ago, a S.W.A.T. team was having a standoff at a home not far from the Casey’s location. They are not certain the St. Louis County man they are looking for is still in the house.

There was not a lot of information about this shooting, other than one officer has died and the shooter left the scene in a 2014 Jeep. They do have the plate numbers. The suspect is a 35 year old male. They do have his identity.

Hermann is the leading wine producer in Missouri. It is a quiet (normally) beautiful town on the Missouri River. The community is in shut down mode until this killer is caught or they are sure he has left the area.
