St. Louis Cardinal’s pitcher Adam Wainwright (Waino) and catcher Yadier (Yadi) Molina set the all time record for battery mates last evening at 325 games (having started 325 games together). This is one record that will never be broken. They broke the previous record of 324 set by Detroit team mates Mickey Lolich (Pitcher) and Bill Freehan (catcher).

It was a fun night. I was fortunate to be there with my daughter who had bought the tickets as a birthday gift for me. What made the night even more memorable was, Albert Pujols drove in his 2,200 RBI with a double in the bottom of the 8th, placing him in 3rd all time behind Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth. Then Yadi got an RBI placing him in 12th place all time for catchers. Yadi is likely to go into the Hall of Fame as the best defensive catcher of all time.

All this in one night, with great seats directly behind home plate. Oh what a night!
