The subconscious mind is a data-bank for everything, which is not in your conscious mind. It stores your beliefs, your previous experience, your memories, your skills. Everything that you have seen, done or thought is also there. It is also your guidance system.
Your subconscious mind is like a huge memory bank. … The function of your subconscious mind is to store and retrieve data. Its job is to ensure that you respond exactly the way you are programmed. Your subconscious mind makes everything you say and do fit a pattern consistent with your self-concept.
Yesterday one of my post was about Copperheads (snake), I had seen the previous day while fishing. I had seen 6-7 adult Copperheads near the location I was along the bank of the lake. It is unusual to see that many in a specific area in such a short period of time…….20-30 minutes. Apparently this experience played on my subconscious mind.
Yesterday, I would occasionally start to doze off (relaxing) and there would be this visual flash in my head of a snake(s). It happened several times during the day. I’d see a snake in a tree. I saw one on the side of a small bluff (a large one). I saw a nest of about 5-6 curled up. I had one vision of one raising up with it’s mouth open like it was getting ready to strike. When I went to bed last night I fully expected to have a dream about snakes. Amazingly, after seeing these flashes nearly all day I did not dream about them last night. I wasn’t afraid of the snakes at the lake, just cautious of them, kept my eye out that one didn’t get into my set-up or tackle bag. So, it was weird the snakes showed up in my subconscious mind the way they did. The flashes I had didn’t seem to indicate any fear I have (or had) of snakes. Not all the snakes I saw in my subconscious were Copperheads. I am not sure any were. They were quite colorful………but very real looking.
While I was at the lake, I found myself closely watching the Copperheads. Maybe subconsciously I find them fascinating. Maybe my visual flashes from my subconscious is sending me a message, I should be a bit more fearful. But, as my day of fishing went my visions showed no fear. Its like my subconscious had picked up where I left off from the lake experience.
