the bible on government: is or how is the un mentioned in the bible?

A thought (I know right, I do occasionally have one) upon waking this morning: does the Bible address governing bodies of the world? I know it speaks of nations and regions, especially at war with one another. But, are we given direction or guidance if you will by the Bible as far as who and how we are to be or should be ruled here on earth? If I were a biblical scholar I suppose I would know the answer. So, I googled it! One of the first articles, which is only someone’s opinion or interpretation of the Bible, came up. The article caught my eye, probably because I believe the UN is worthless and it’s headquarters should be booted out of the United States.

I am going to do a bit more research on this now that it has my interest. Therefore, I will probably post a few of the more interesting articles I find. I also find it fascinating I would begin with an article on government’s role during end-times. Another question, what does the Bible say about illegal immigration?

Below this black blob, see the link. I couldn’t rid of this thing.

  1. Actually, Romans 13:1 answers your question. “Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God.” So, yes…according to Paul, you are to be subject to the whims of government because it was established by God.
