ARLIN REPORT THOUGHT OF THE DAY: MAN ITS COLD

As Mike Shannon would say “Come on baby, get up, get up”

Sky, my Siberian Husky is loving this.  Me, not so much.   At 6:10 AM this morning, it is 4 degrees.   I don’t think it got that cold last year at any time.  Now when I was growing up, a long time ago, you expected negative degrees “occasionally” during the Winter, usually in January or February.   I should mention…….we’re in St. Charles, Missouri……not Alaska! This 65-year-old body is just not used to it anymore.   This cold spell is only going to last a few more days, well several.  Around the 6th of January, 2018 the temperatures are being forecast to climb up to the low to mid 40s.    Now that will be more like it. These single digits can go!

Have a wonderful Wednesday, December 27th 2017 and remember to pay your property taxes!   🙂   God Bless America!

  1. HEY BUDDY—I AM TRAILING BEHIND YOU, I AM STILL 64 YEARS OLD BEFORE JUNE 28 AT 6:30AM, WHEN I WAS BORN, AND I CAN NOT TAKE IT EITHER. HERE IN SANDY SPRINGS, GA WE ARE EXPERIENCING TEMPERATURES IN THE 30’S AND AS LOW AS 20’S. I LIVE AND BREATHE TO ONCE AGAIN TO BECOME A FLORIDIAN, HOPEFULLY BEFORE I TURN INTO A CORPSE HERE. WE ARE NOT EVEN USING ANY HEAT TO SAVE ON THE GAS BILL, BECAUSE RENTS HAVE GONE UP ASTRONOMICALLY. ALSO, WHEN THERE IS A SLIGHT BIT OF WINTER MIX, EVERYTHING SLOWS DOWN. SURELY CAN NOT WAIT FOR SPRING, I ALSO HAVE ARTHRITIS AND BRONCHITIS. WIND CHILL FACTORS ARE NO FUN EITHER.
