A Christmas Poem For Y’All


Desert Musings

T’was the night before Christmas, and throughout the land

Everyone had left DC, and isn’t that grand?

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care

But it wouldn’t matter, there’s nobody there.

Ryan’s back in Wisconsin, McCain in AZ

McConnell’s in Kentucky, but where’s Pelosi?

The tax cut is finished, the bill’s done and signed

Democrats are complaining, what’s wrong with their mind?

And just when you thought that it didn’t matter,

Along comes this noise, the quiet did shatter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash

I looked to my left and saw a mad dash.

The moon shone so brightly, everything was so clear.

It was just like daytime, like lunchtime was near.

And what in my throat caused a great big ol’ lump

A jet full of programs, and yes…Donald Trump!

He was sitting in back and was combing his hair
