  2. Wolf Lives do Matter! Great post. Thanks. We have been trying to help the wolves for many years now. I always tell people that “a girl’s best friend is not a diamond, it is her wolf”. Which for those of us that have been so lucky to know one really well, know that they are not as they seem. They are ancient and very wise, misunderstood, and hunted to extinction.

    1. I have been in love with wolves since I got my Siberian Husky as a young puppy. I have often feared when my dog makes an escape run she is mistaken for a wolf. They after all were bread from wolves. I agree with you they are intelligent and really aren’t that much of a threat to humans. They don’t really raid hen houses that often, there are that many anymore. Save the wolf! All wolves.

      1. I knew I liked the way you think. We have been friends with them for many years. We had had a Siberian Husky. When I moved in James had had Alexia for 12 years. When she was 13.5, my truck, with her in it was stolen, she would not even let my sister in the truck if James or I were not around. We got the truck back, but not Alexia. Very hard to go through, not knowing what happened to her. I still cry sometimes when I think about it. That was 23 years ago. Then I had to have an animal that no one could steal. They are registered as Kugsha dogs. Our little female picked us. She is happy all day every day.
I was most pleased to see that you are a wolf person.

      2. 🙂 My Husky (Sky) has escaped several times, was gone about 3 days once. Shes chipped and luckily I have always gotten her back. Either the county animal control picked her up, or someone took her to a vet where they could run the chip. Once she got out twice in the same day. The chip company……called me twice that day, said it was a first. I know how you must have felt, I felt like one of my kids was missing when she was gone. Sky is 16-1/2 and still acts like a puppy in the yard.

      3. Damn, that is a good life 16.5 years, must have been a good breeder. The ones I have now, are supposed to live 17-22 years. I have only gotten 8.5 years out of my first male. The vet killed him. Long, sad story. His full blood nephew lives with us now. Still one of the sweetest I have ever met, even sweeter than his uncle was.
