HOW DO I LOOK?

The older I get, the less important that seems to matter.   Is it because I am more comfortable in my own skin?   Or, is it I don’t feel like I need to impress anyone to gain something back?   Like, a job, friendship, no need to court anyone!

Truth is, putting a dress shirt and tie on never was really comfortable.   While there was a time, and occasionally still could be, it was out of necessity; business and sometimes showing that you were okay at putting a little effort in.

The older I get and I turn 65 in August; its just about being comfortable.   Not sloppy, comfortable.  Clean and comfortable, throw in neat.   You still look good!

Have a beautiful day!

  1. AS OF TODAY, I BECAME 64 YEARS OLD, AND JUST TO THINK AT ONE TIME AN EGG AND A SPERM COLLIDED TOGETHER AND I WAS ONCE AN EMBRYO. I WOULD HOPE THAT THE MORE WRINKLES I GET, THAT THEY SHALL GIVE ME MORE STATUS OF WISDOM AND THAT I INDEED HAVE LEARNED MY LESSONS. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW YOU LOOK TO OTHER PEOPLE; WHAT MATTERS IS JESUS CHRIST IN THE END. PEOPLE WILL TALK AND GOSSIP, EVEN BEFORE YOU OR I WERE BORN, THERE WERE PEOPLE WONDERING WHAT WE WILL BE LIKE, AND AFTER WE LEAVE THIS WORLD, PEOPLE WILL STILL BE TALKING. MY LATE MOTHER REGINA, ONCE HAVE TOLD ME PRETTY IS AS PRETTY DOES.

  2. Welcome to the 60s Arlin. I turn 67 in November, I finally went into my closets 😫 and I’m cleaning out all the stuff, I know I’m never going to wear again… Especially my high heels, time to be comfortable chic. 😎

    1. I’m retiring next year right after I turn 66………I’m counting the days. I work in our International Banking dept………. don’t usually see our customers, mostly communicate over the phone and email. No need for a tie!! Supposed to wear a dress shirt but I’ve been getting by on nice golf shirts. Comfort!!! You got it!

  3. When I retired, I swore I would never wear a suit and tie again. I have done that exactly four times in six years. Nowadays it’s cargo shorts and either tee shirt or golf shirt depending on what I’m doing. Sandals unless I’m working out and then it’s my New Balances. Only time I wear long pants and dress shoes is to church or a funeral. No…Arlin, you’re normal!
