I inherited my thick beard from my father. I haven’t done well with electric razors; I have tried a few, but keep leaving my face with razor burns that looks like a spotty sun burn.
If there is an expert in the field of shaving, I am close. I have the experience. Most men my age can make that same claim. I have experimented with different razors over the years, going from one name brand to another, even the throw-aways. I have changed from one week to the next, as often as some golfers change putters.
I have come to a conclusion, we’ve been getting ripped off. The price of the refill cartridges and the disposable razors are ridiculous. They are just razors. I know it takes precision to design and mold, but after that the technology today mass produces them cheaply. I have paid as much as $35.00-$40.00 for a pack of 10. A month later I need more razors.
Some are better than others, as it is in any competitive market. The cheap ones really scar your face up……….but you over pay for them as well. The disposable, use once throw it away package of 10 is over priced.
They added 2 blades, 3 blades 4 and now I think there is one out there with 5 blades to the razor. You pay for those multiple razors. Do you really get a better shave? Maybe some of you do, I do not.
I have gone to the Double edge razor. You only need one good razor blade. I did this as an experiment, wasn’t sure I would end up needing stitches. I tried the Micro One for $19.95 with blades to the package. I bought it over the counter at, of all places Wal-Mart. I got a great shave, no stubs left behind and no blood.
For me, gone are the days of paying a ton for RAZOR BLADES. I am sticking with the Double Edge razor. I love it. I am not endorsing Micro One in particular. There may be other double edge razor blades out there just a good. I really like saving the money.
You only need one razor blade, make it a double edge.
